The Christmas Parade is 100% volunteer so in order to make it the most successful ever, we need your help. If you are willing to volunteer your time, please fill out the form below. We are in need of at least 50 adults and 30 High Schoolers to make this a great event. Make sure to pass this along to anyone you know.
If you have any questions about this, please send an email to GCSBusinessLeague@gmail.com.
Some of the areas we need assistance in:
Flyer Distribution (adults)– We have informational flyers for the local home owners and businesses that give them information on what is happening. These are ones that will be effected by the crowds and road closures. We will need to do this during the month of November (dates are TBD). All you have to do is driver around and hand them out to specific areas around US 17.
Friday Pre-Parade Work (adults)– Putting out stakes in the staging area for the floats. Moving cones to various locations. Doing any last minute work.
Sat Pre-Parade Work (adults and HS)– Putting numbers on the stakes in the staging area. Helping to rope off various areas along the parade route. Various other jobs.
Staging Area Work (adults and HS) – Need a lot of people for this. Helping check in parade entries, directing traffic at back intersections, parking lot attendant, helping bring children to various parade entries, setting up judging area, and lots of other fun things.
Parade Route Work (Adults) – Here is where we need the most adult volunteers. You will be assigned a location along the parade route. You will make sure nobody comes into the road during the parade. Will also make sure no cars come into the parade route while US 17 is closed down. You will be there before the parade starts and must remain at the location until the road is back open.
After Parade Clean Up (Adults and Kids) – Will help clean up the staging area and sidewalks along the parade route.
